Making it Burn!

Yippee it’s Burn’s night.

Last week I was very generously gifted a table at the Beatson Hoolie, a fundraising event which raised over £50,000 on the night. The Beatson Cancer Charity is one of the charities I was supporting.

We all wore red hearts to remember Angela.

I think we scrubbed up rather well and Eric wore his kilt.

The food was delicious and plentiful. Our starter was haggis neeps and tatties. The haggis was piped in and an amazing young woman addressed the haggis with gusto.

The entertainment began and they played the Proclaimers song 500 miles and so of course myself and my Fitsteps family members jumped up to do our dance.

We were treated to three bands including the Red Hot Chilli Pipers who were as energetic as ever.

Tonight at home I made traditional Burns supper of Haggis, neeps and tatties with whiskey sauce. We didn’t do the address to the Haggis as we were too eager to eat it.
