Day 351: rest day

Best bits: lazy day

Worst bits: shock of afternoon nap!

Distance: rest day

Days to finish: 14

We woke early this morning without the smell of gas! We had breakfast together admiring the view which to do was the clearest it’s been.

Then it was time to say goodbye to Kirsten. We’ve had a lovely time together over the last few days and we’ll see each other again in a couple of weeks time.

As the morning progressed, the Sun was shining on the hills making them appear golden brown.

Judith, the lovely warden here popped across with a donation from herself and reimbursement from the campsite owners as a donation. What lovely people.

I did a few jobs and caught up on some admin and then after lunch I felt a little tired so lay down on my bed. Before I knew what was happening, it was 6 pm. Quite unbelievably I had slept for about five hours!

I jumped up thinking I had missed most of the day. However, there really wasn’t much else to do apart from some final planning for tomorrow’s stops and some social media posts. What a completely lazy day!
