Worst bits: saying goodbye to Lynn and Harb

I awoke to another message from my gadgets! Not great news but better than yesterday.
After promising that I would allow myself plenty of time to recover before walking again I said goodbye to Lynn and Harb.
I had a relaxing morning but showering took it out of me. Blimey what a state I’m in. Who would have thought that I had walked 4,000 miles?
The rest of the day was spent in the cafe where I spoke with several people. I had lunch and finally left for Durness late afternoon. What a fantastic drive it was. The scenery was absolutely amazing and I was very sorry that I hadn’t been able to walk this section and so just had to try to be content with the drive. Of course I couldn’t take photos while I was driving.
Aly was due to arrive at Durness at 6pm and I was waiting for her. She had been travelling since 6:30am and had been on 3 trains and a bus. What an epic journey and what a star. We parked up a short distance from the town and had a cuppa followed by a short walk to the beach. I didn’t cough too much but was glad to get back to Priscilla.
The wee beasties (midges) were out and biting but we managed to get there and back with only a few bites. The sun was setting and we managed a few photos. How about this for a view from Priscilla.
We visited this ruined church and graveyard trying to get a good picture but it eluded us.
Although it was quite atmospheric.
We finished the evening off by watching the Thursday Murder Club.
