Best bits: evening meal
Worst bits: feeling exhausted
Distance: rest day
Having walked extra distance yesterday, it meant that I had an unexpected day off today. So Bev and I had a leisurely start taking our time with breakfast, having a shower but then we had to pack up Priscilla ready to move on to our next destination, Aberdeen. As we were staying on a campsite, it was chance to fill up with water, empty the toilet and we had been charging the battery overnight. Bev decided to take a look at my bed, or as Danny calls it, my nest. Bev thinks I’m like a pigeon sleeping under a bridge, especially when I stick my head over the edge to talk to her on the bottom bunk.
Bev has been conquering her fears this week by driving Priscilla and she offered to drive to Aberdeen. She managed this really well until we arrived at Asda where she parked in four car parking spaces.
It was dry and relatively warm, and so we decided to go for a little walk along the promenade. The seagulls here are huge and quite menacing. 
Bev couldn’t resist an ice cream because there was a sign saying rainbow ice cream. The lady handed over the ice cream wafting wasps away with one hand and saying beware of the seagulls. Bev was disappointed when it was just chocolate and vanilla. She only managed half of it. It was a case of eyes being bigger than her belly.
We took a walk around the amusement facilities which were quite extensive and included this racing circuit. Normally I would’ve had a go on this but I was too tired. I will have to save that for another occasion.
We spent the rest of the afternoon in Priscilla where I lay down to try and have a rest because I was very tired. Bev went for a mooch around some of the shops. Later we went for dinner in an excellent Turkish restaurant where the food was delicious and plentifull. 
Today was day 265, which meant that there were 100 days left. That was exciting and scary all at the same time. We managed a little celebration.
