Worst bits: saying goodbye to Lynn and Harb

I had a bit of a lie in this morning before dragging myself out of bed and having breakfast with Lynn and Harb. Then I went back to Priscilla whilst they went for a look round Boston. It was then time to say goodbye as they were going back home today.
After a 2nd cup of tea, I got ready and went in search of somewhere for a haircut. There seem to be barbershops every other shop on the street but none of them would entertain cutting my hair. There was a distinct lack of ladies hairdressers. After a while of wandering round, I came across Rash of Rachid’s unisex barbers who took on the challenge and did an excellent job. We had a long chat about lots of things, he’s such a lovey guy. Before and after photos.
Feeling lighter I was up for a little more sight seeing and popped across to the tower I had seen yesterday. St Botolph’s is a 14th century gothic church. It is known locally as ‘the stump’.
It is beautiful inside.
I decided to take lunch in the cafe there and was served by David, Abi and Mel all volunteers who looked after me splendidly.
I went back to Priscilla via Swan House that was constructed as a feather factory, a Neo-ltalian architectural gem from the height of Boston’s industrial wealth, proudly topped by an enormous but elegant swan statue.
Logistics were then top of my agenda for the rest of the day, followed by some cleaning, tidying and shopping.
Finally some R&R watching an excellent series Code of Silence back to back.
