Best bits: the arrival of Will, Laura and Poppy
Worst bits: saying goodbye to Dave
Distance: 10.6 miles
Today it was time to say goodbye to Dave who has been my fabulous support team for the past week. He kindly brought me McDonald’s in bed this morning. We did a final debrief before we went our separate ways.

After a quick tidy up of Priscilla and shopping for provisions, it was time to go and collect Will, my son, and Poppy, my dog, from the train station. I was very excited because I haven’t seen Will since we went to China in October and I haven’t seen Poppy since she went back home in January.

It was a lovely surprise to also see Laura with Will. I was expecting Poppy to be a little bit excited about seeing me however, she was very distracted by the sniffs and the fact that someone had discarded a Cornetto on the grass.

As I had had a nice coffee break in the Reading Rooms yesterday I took Will and Laura there for lunch.

Poppy is as photogenic as ever and all the customers seem to love her giving her plenty of attention .

We went for a walk along the beach and the promenade taking photographs as we went. Will wanted to go on the pier but unfortunately dogs weren’t allowed and also it cost £2.

I wanted to go and see the famous Brighton pavilion. Which looks so out of place in the rest of Brighton.

Will decided to drive Priscilla from Asda to our accommodation. He did great until he had to park Trai and park in the designated parking space. It was always going to be a no go situation however he did try really hard to fit it in but had to admit defeat.

As it was a Friday night in Brighton, Will and Lau wanted to go and check out the nightlife. We found a pub that was initially quiet but later the DJ appeared and handed out fans to everyone there. Only in a gay bar!

Will and Lau walked me home and then they went out again to a club. Oh to be young!
