Day 160: rest day

Best bits: saying hello to Joyce

Worst bits: saying goodbye to Rowena and James

Distance: rest day

The day started with the debrief interview of Rowena. She’s a little camera shy but managed really well. It was great that we were able to do the interview outside in the garden.

I then sat in the sunshine and caught up with my blog from yesterday as I was too tired to complete it last night.

We took some time reviewing photographs from Jarvis Cocker’s book Good Pop Bad Pop. We were both at school with Jarvis and we are both in the photograph from our Lower Sixth form in 1981. We spent some time trying to remember the names of all of the people. There were also some interesting hand drawn diagrams and the Pulp master plan.

Then it was time to say goodbye to Rowena and James who have been fantastic hosts for the past couple of days.

I drove to Southampton where I would be staying with Joyce, Claire‘s mum. She lives in a retirement complex and I am staying in the guest suite.

Chris, Claire’s husband also came round for dinner and we had an entertaining chat.

Tomorrow is a day for logistics for the next couple of weeks.
