Day 150: rest day, again

Best bits: pink hair again

Worst bits: realising I need to change plans again! Pesky firing ranges

Distance: rest day

The clocks went forward last night to start British Summer Time yippee. So it was another lazy start on account of the loss of an hours sleep. I got up and dyed my hair pink again as I wasn’t happy with it yesterday.

Happy Mother’s Day everyone.

Then it was a day of inevitable jobs that I had been putting off. I cleaned and tidied Priscilla ready for Viv’s arrival tomorrow, storing winter gear and optimistically getting out summer gear. Other jobs included washing and paying the parking fine! This took a couple of hours.

Then I had logistics to sort out as I discovered that the Lulworth firing range is closed on Fridays, which was when I had planned to walk that section!

Tomorrow’s walk, the view from the window in our accommodation, takes in Golden Cap which is the highest point on the South Coast of England. Standing at 191 meters (627 ft) apparently it’s about 30 metres higher than Beachy Head and around twice the height of the White Cliff’s of Dover.

Danny and Poppy FaceTimed me to wish me happy Mother’s Day.

Claire and Chris went out for a wander and left me to it. I was still faffing when they returned. However, then it was time to chill with a gin and tonic and food.

Claire had been busy making Pom poms, doing origami and crocheting some hearts. Then she got creative in the kitchen.
