Best bits: delicious food
Worst bits: short walk!
Distance: 5.9 miles
The coast path is dependent on using small ferries that only run in summer time and so I am having to adjust my routes every day just now. Yesterday I finished at Wembury where the ferry isn’t running. So today I needed to drive to the other side of the estuary to rejoin the coast path.
I parked up in the National Trust car park at Noss Mayo which ended up being even further along the coast path than I intended, so a very short day today.
I spent the morning planning logistics for the next few days ahead. So much planning just now.
The walking was very easy with well defined dry paths. It was like an afternoon stroll. cracked on at a fast pace as it was threatening rain and there were several extremely loud rumbles of thunder.

There were so many cows in this field it looked so strange. I think it must be very cowded!

Some views today were very dramatic and contrasted with the yellow flowers of the gorse which were giving off a scent of coconut.

This tree caught my attention, standing all alone on the hillside but clearly very resilient.

The guide book said to wade across the river at low tide. However, it also said that there was a very narrow window to do this and not on a spring tide or after heavy rain. Obviously this is where I ended my walk today.

Chris’s cousin Kim and her daughter Kez were helping me out today and we had arranged to meet up at the Schoolhouse restaurant in Mothecombe at the end of my walk. That was a lovely place and the food was delicious.

I didn’t realise I was having a bad hair day until I saw this picture!
