Day 118: rest day

I felt exhausted last night and didn’t even have the energy to write my blog. I decided to have a lay in and so didn’t set any alarms.

I went on my scales today to do my update as it’s been a year since I started training and almost 4 months into my walk.

My weight is continuing to drop and I have noticed that my trousers are getting looser!

On the up side, I have converted 8.4% of my body mass from fat to an extra 8% of muscle,

and 0.4% to bone mass.

I spent most of the day sitting, trying to rest my ankle. However, I still had to do some jobs like make my bed, which is difficult in a confined space, clean out the fridge, change the gas bottle and generally tidy up.

The sun was shining which allowed me to dry off my muddy gear.

Then I spent the rest of the day checking and fine tuning my route and other logistics for the next couple of weeks.

A highlight of the day was a live interview on BBC radio Cornwall with David White. It started at 14:47 lasted about 10 minutes 😊.

Best bits: radio interview and resting

Worst bits: sore ankle, seeing my weight data!

Distance: rest day

  1. You’re doing amazing well Tracey! Would send you some Neo tape and a suitable experienced therapist to apply to your appropriate body parts if that would help.
Failing that supportive and caring hugs coming your way virtually.

    1. Thanks. It’s a real pain 🤣

  2. What’s the diagnosis on the ankle ?
