Poppy had us up several times during the night 2:30am, 5am and 7am. This caused me to have a delayed start this morning as I was still sleepy. Then it took me awhile to get my feet sorted. It’s mainly my little toes, they have turned a purple colour!
I’ve swapped back into boots today as yesterday was very muddy. I decided to take the less strenuous easier route rather than go up over the cliff top.

It’s been mainly road walking on remote roads linking working farms. It’s been very heavy on the feet. I only saw one farmer all morning.
I was entertained by a flock of pheasants, mama, dad and lots of babies who are a bit unsure about what I was doing here. They kept looking behind them at me and waddling off in front of me and then finally flew off. So my pheasants today! Later in the afternoon I heard shooting!!

I have taken to listening to the radio to help pass the time but today the signal dropped. It was the same with phone calls I resorted to a playlist but the Power of Love Frankie goes to Hollywood came on which made me cry as it was our song and we played it at Angela’s funeral. I really miss Angela so, so much.
After about 2 hours I could finally see the sea again which was a good boost. I stopped for lunch after 6 miles and it was so difficult to get going again my feet are so sore. I took two painkillers and contemplated taking my socks off to give my feet as much room as possible but then decided against that for now anyway!

It’s very lovely when a message bounces in to my phone from family and friends. I’ve got a message from Eilidh from my Fitsteps family with a wee note to say her daughter has been crocheting wee critters and selling them to raise money for TraceysTrek. I also absolutely love the videos you keep sending me. Please keep them coming as they really make me smile and gives me lovely little boost during the day when I’m feeling a bit low mood. I really appreciate everyone for your amazing support means so so much to me.
I saw two deer in a field looking at me, I must look a bit of a strange thing. Then oh my goodness they started bounding across the field and a few massive jumps rather like dolphins doing tricks. It was lovely for them to be so free.
Today there were lots of rabbits running around and just up the road in front of me this little white tail showing me the way.

I met a lovely family Jill and Emily and Douglas we had a quick chat and I shared a heart which was very poignant for them.
Joanne brought Poppy along the path to meet me. A nice lunch stop with hot homemade soup and cake. Yum! A change of shoes and socks and lots more busy road walking with my high viz jacket on past the ferry terminals to Belfast.

I met two lovely sisters Karen and Linda from Glasgow. Following a quick tea break I had left my rucksack in Priscilla so didn’t have any hearts to give them. I’ve got you an IOU though for my return to Glasgow.
Finally on to a better part of the coastal path.

The path came to a bridge in the middle of the stream and I had to do acrobatics to get onto it. Later I had to slide down a concrete slope to get to the shore because the path ran out!

The sheep were very bemused by my presence!

Finally on to Stranraer as it became dark I had to resort to my head torch. I was so pleased to see Priscilla parked in the caravan park as I was really depleted and needed food and something hot to drink. I was cold inside due to fatigue. After a warm shower and lovely meal prepared by Ann I felt much better. Well apart from my feet which are now throbbing.
